Preface
Since the beginning of civilization, human beings have been looking for a medium to record information permanently, for example, the royal court of Shang dynasty recorded writing on turtle nails or animal bones; later there appeared to record writing on bamboo pieces, stone tablets, sheep skin, and paper. Nowadays, the common way is to record text on personal computers, mobile hard drives, and internet applications, but these ways are very unfriendly for recording data for a long time.
The emergence of blockchain is great, it may be able to record our works permanently, whether it is text, music, or other. Blockchain has a natural advantage over centralized products when it comes to recording information. When our works are recorded in centralized products, they can be permanently lost due to computer re-installation, lost/damaged mobile hard drives, Internet content auditing, self-deletion by mistake, or account unavailability, product maintenance stop, etc. We cannot even recover these data, resulting in losing them forever.
Blockchain is a booming industry that has all kinds of public chains, and the data between different public chains is inherently isolated; by default, we can't exchange information between different public chains. Social X was originally designed to be a blockchain-based cross-chain exchange aggregator! With Social X you can choose any public chain to permanently record your work; similarly, others can use their favorite public chains to comment and interact with your messages. Even though we are on different public chains, it doesn't affect our happy communication.
Because blockchains require payment for recording any information, Social X's contracts will be designed to be as simple and cost effective as possible. We will pursue the core and practicality, and try not to make those fancy features.
Introduction
Social X is an innovative social protocol that supports access to all blockchains and stores data permanently on the chain.
Features
Compatible with all blockchains: The Social X protocol supports access to all public chains, which means users can use their favorite public chains for socializing and enjoy the advantages of blockchains, such as decentralization, transparency, security, etc.
Anti-censorship: The Social X protocol does not censor posted content.
Permanent storage of data: Unlike other social platforms, content posted to the Social X protocol is not stored in external systems such as IPFS or Arweave, but in the blockchain where the address of the posted content is located and associated with that address. This means that the content published in Social X Protocol is permanently recorded on the blockchain, and as long as the blockchain exists, the content will always exist and will not be deleted or tampered with, ensuring the security and trustworthiness of the content.
Anonymity: The Social X protocol supports users to socialize in an anonymous way, which protects their privacy and allows them to express their views and ideas more freely.
Available Functions
Create a theme: When you publish a theme using Social X protocol, you need to set the theme title and theme content.
Appending topics: Since the content of topics published using the Social X protocol is stored on the blockchain, it cannot be deleted. However, the Social X protocol supports content publishers to append content to published content.
Replying to topics: The Social X protocol supports user replies to already existing topic, which is stored on the blockchain used by the respondent's account address.
Address Attributes: The Social X protocol supports adding additional descriptive information as attributes to the user address and storing it in the chain.
Follow: The recorded information of users following the address of the target user is also stored on the blockchain.
